Perpetual Ocean

Approximately 70% of the Earth is covered by water. And unless it is frozen, it’s always in motion. This visualization shows ocean surface currents around the world from June 2005 through December 2007. The visualization does not include a narration or annotations; the goal was to use NASA ocean flow data to create a simple, visceral experience. (3:03)
