Two of Michigan’s greatest environmental authors—Dave Dempsey and Jerry Dennis—will join together on stage to talk about protecting the Great Lakes, the threats our water supply are facing, the dangers of climate change to our natural surroundings, and other topics covered in their books Great Lakes for Sale, Up North in Michigan and The Living Great Lakes. Join virtually or in-person at the City Opera House.

Do you have questions or about becoming a Team Leader? Are you an experienced Team Leader who wants a refresher on how to lead a cleanup? Join us for a short Team Leader training.

Brew on the Bay is a networking event for members of lake associations and friends groups. This is an opportunity to gather and share your knowledge and experience with one another over coffee.

This online workshop will introduce you to a range of wetland types found in Michigan, to help you recognize which wetlands might occur on your land. We’ll explore why wetlands are important, and how you can protect and manage your wetlands.

Join us Saturday, September 17, 2022, for a Great Lakes day of action! Thousands of Adopt-a-Beach volunteers will clean and celebrate Great Lakes shorelines as part of the International Coastal Cleanup.

We will furnish buckets , but please bring your own work gloves. All volunteers will be entered in a raffle.

Meet at Oval Beach Parking lot to sign in, get supplies and then depart for cleanup. Things to bring: gloves (if you have them), sunscreen, bug spray, Kitty Litter bucket with handle (if you have it). Hat, jacket etc, depending on weather.
