Michigan Agriculture and Environmental Education Workshop

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Michigan
Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy will host a Michigan Agriculture
and Environmental Education Workshop for educators —
formal K–12 educators and non-formal educators (e.g., nature center staff, 4H and scout
leaders, and other outdoor educators), on Monday, August 5, 2019, at the Michigan State
University Tollgate Education Center in Novi.

Topics will include:
 Safe Food Storage, Preparation and Packaging
 Agriculture and the Environment
 Careers in Food and Agriculture
 Water Quality
 Garden-based Curriculum

The workshop will include a Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum Support Unit
as certification for Michigan Continuing Education Credits.

Cost for the full-day workshop is just $25 and includes a continental breakfast, lunch,
workshop materials and classroom resources.
