Friends of the St. Clair River Winter Stonefly Search

January 27 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free
There’s nature to be discovered in the depths of winter!  The Belle River is thriving with life and we’re wading in!  Join us at our Winter Stonefly Search on Sat, January 27 at 10 AM at Columbus County Park.  Unlike most insects, winter stoneflies prefer the coldest months of the year to emerge from the river.  Because of their sensitivity to pollution, these creatures give us a glimpse into the health of the Belle River.  This event is free and open to participants of all ages and abilities.  No experience necessary!  We provide all the tools needed.
