Lansing Rivers and River Trail Clean Up
September 21 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
FreeYou won’t want to miss out on our fourth community-wide, waterways stewardship and river trail cleanup. This will be our largest with more activities and special events planned than ever before. We reveal much more than incredible rivers, treasured parks, and a prized river trail, we reveal our community spirit and civic pride.
Because of the efforts of well over 1,300 volunteers, many say that our capital city’s rivers, adjoining riverbanks, parks, and river trail, are looking cleaner, appear healthier, and are more pleasant to view and use, than ever before. Let’s not let our remarkable gains slip. We remain committed to maintaining and improving upon what is now Michigan’s most scenic, pleasant, and varied urban waterways destination.
Come join us. Either come alone, bring a friend or entire family, or make this a company-wide team building event, and experience the joy and ease in which we accomplish great things when working together. If you wish to be either an event partner or sponsor drop us a note via our contact page, we would love to hear from you. It is because of you our capital city’s rivers, adjoining greenways, and river trail are looking its best, ever!
In addition to our headquarter site at Potter Park Zoo, there will be satellite sites at Rotary and Moorse parks for the distribution of FREE snacks, bottled water, and all the equipment needed.
With your help we will sustain those transformational changes made and make our Capital City’s treasured Grand and Red Cedar rivers and prized Lansing River Trail looking their best. Choose your preferred area of stewardship, whether it be on the water (blueway) or on land (greenway).
