2nd Annual Kalamazoo River Cleanup

May 17 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

Join us for a day of community service as we tackle litter and debris along the trails, riverbanks, and in the river of the Kalamazoo River Watershed.

Partners include Rotary Club of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo River Watershed Council, City of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, the Kalamazoo Nature Center, Kalamazoo Conservation District, Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy, Trashlovekzoo, Edison Resident Scholars, the Kalamazoo Paddle Club, and others.

This event runs from 10-2pm, and will be focused on parks and waterways in Kalamazoo, Comstock, and Parchment. There are many ways to participate, for families, more experienced river paddlers and fishermen, and people who love to wade in creeks. You will meet up, and clean up, at the location you choose. Then we will all gather at Mayor’s Riverfront Park Homer Stryker Field/Growlers Ballpark for a celebration with free picnic-style food and live music from 2pm to 5pm. Click HERE for more details.

To join this event, we are asking each adult participant to complete the online registration form individually. If applicable, there is a place to indicate that you will be bringing children. Once registered, you should receive a confirmation from Google with your form entries. As we get closer to the event date, you will receive an email message from event leaders with additional information. Thanks for joining us!
