18th Annual River Conservation Day

October 2, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Volunteer for a great cause and make a difference in your community! Join us for the 18th Annual River Conservation Day on Oct. 2nd from 9am-12pm at Bennett Park! Last year, we were successful in cleaning up areas around Bennett Park, Butternut Creek, the Battle creek river, and cleaned and marked some storm drains in downtown Charlotte. This year, opportunities include: river cleanup, invasive species monitoring, learn about stormwater pollution, tree health and monitoring and more! Please wear waterproof shoes/boots. Lunch will be provided along with river clean up supplies (gloves, bags, etc.). All volunteers will meet at the main pavilion by the bathrooms at Bennett Park. We are hoping to expand on last year’s success and hope you will be able to join us. Please sign up at www.eatoncd.org. You can call our office at (517) 543-1512 x5 if you have any questions.
