DESCRIPTION:The 31th Annual Quiet Adventures Symposium will be held on Saturday\, February 28\, 2026 at the MSU Farm Bureau Pavilion (4301 Farm Lane\, Lansing\, MI\, on the Michigan State University campus) between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. \nThe Quiet Adventures Symposium (QAS) is an annual\, day-long event celebrating non-motorized outdoor recreation like paddling\, hiking\, and biking.   Held at the MSU Pavilion\, it features 100+ exhibitors\, 30+ presentations\, and demonstrations to promote environmental stewardship. \nKey Details and Usage Examples: \n\nActivities & Features: The event showcases canoeing\, kayaking\, camping\, bicycling\, and boat building/repair.\nPresentations & Demos: Sessions cover topics like wilderness photography\, kayak rolling\, and specific adventure stories.\nEducation & Conservation: It provides a venue for learning about local\, state\, and national environmental efforts.\nNetworking: Attendees can meet experts\, join local clubs\, and discover new outdoor gear.\nFamily Friendly: Includes a dedicated youth area and free entry for children under 12 (or 18\, depending on the year).\nSpecial Events: Features the Paddling Film Festival and raffle prizes. \n\nWondering what Quiet Adventures Symposium is all about? DESCRIPTION:QAS 2025 Theme: Bridging the Gap \n“Bridging the Gap” is about promoting community and connection between all the various outdoor recreational activities. Be it paddling\, biking\, camping\, or something else entirely\, we all use and care for the same outdoor spaces\, be it directly or indirectly. By “bridging the gaps” between all of the different recreators enjoying these spaces\, we can in turn strengthen our ties to the land and water we use. When we find common ground between our different passions\, we are able to promote responsible stewardship and are able to better appreciate the places we hold most dear. \nAdvance Ticketing now available. DESCRIPTION:The Quiet Adventures Symposium is where people passionate about quiet non-motorized activities come together. The group includes paddlers and bicyclists\, hikers and fishermen and women\, backpackers and campers\, and all other quiet adventurers. The best adventure experts come and speak on a wide range of topics. Here is our 2024 speaker schedule and 2024 demonstration schedule. Speakers will share their experiences and expertise about Isle Royale\, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness\,  Mt Blanc\, Patagonia\, Mississippi River (fast and slow) to name a few places. \nThe 29th Annual Quiet Adventures Symposium\, “Connect with Adventure”\, will be on Saturday\, March 2\, 2024\, at the MSU Pavilion (4301 Farm Lane\, Lansing\, MI) between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm.
