DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 20th Annual River Conservation Day on Oct. 7th from 8am-12pm at Bennett Park! Volunteer for a great cause and make a difference in your community! We will focus on cleaning up areas around Bennett Park\, Butternut Creek\, and the Battle Creek River\, as well as cleaning and marking some storm drains in downtown Charlotte. Participants will learn about invasive species monitoring\, stormwater pollution\, monitoring tree health\, and more! Please wear waterproof shoes/boots. All other river clean-up supplies (gloves\, bags\, etc) will be provided.  Donuts and coffee will be available from 8-9am and lunch will be served after the event for all participants.  Meet at the main pavilion by the bathrooms at Bennett Park.
