SUMMARY:Adopt-A-Beach @ Elberta Beach!
DESCRIPTION:Meet at Elberta Beach\, end of Bye Road\, Elberta\, MI \n\nThe Adopt-a-Beach program is a regional volunteer opportunity sponsored by The Alliance for the Great Lakes. Each year nearly 15\,000 volunteers participate in beach clean-ups along the shores of all five great lakes. \nEach year\, in in spring and fall\, the Benzie Conservation District co-hosts with the Alliance for the Great Lake adopt-a-beach clean-ups We are always seeking volunteers to help remove trash and debris from the Lake Michigan shoreline. What makes this program special is that all of the results are tracked and the data is entered into an online system that helps to inform regional policy and educate the public. \nWe celebrate the natural resources of our planet with a Spring Kickoff\, Earth Day Beach Cleanup. And to make a difference in September with the larger global community celebrating International Coastal Cleanup Day (sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy)\, we also hold an Adopt-a-Beach Cleanup.. \nTo sign-up or learn more\, please contact Aimé Merizon\, communications & outreach specialist\, at aime@benziecd.org or 231-882-4391 x 11.
