DESCRIPTION:It’s a winter wonderland at Leo Creek Preserve! Join us for a guided nature walk through the wetland to learn about winter tree identification\, estimate the age of the large white pine that fell in December\, and make pine needle tea! \nMake sure to wear warm layers and boots. Perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts\, this immersive experience offers a unique perspective on Downriver’s hidden natural treasures. Paddle\, learn\, and reconnect with the wild! \nThis event is free and open to experienced Detroit River paddlers. All attendees must bring their own boat (hauls required) and be able to complete a 6-mile paddle on open waters! Pre-registration is required.
