DESCRIPTION:The Algal Bloom Action Team is once again hosting their Virtual Harmful Algal Bloom Symposium this January 9-10\, 2025! 2024’s event The symposium brought over 600 water professionals from across the region together to hear the latest research on HAB monitoring\, treatment\, outreach and communication. It also included a special feedback session posted by the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program on freshwater acidification the concerns\, priorities and intersections with harmful algal blooms. DESCRIPTION:Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) continue to present some of the biggest challenges in chemical contamination across the world.
